This lesson is called “Small is Beautiful.

این درس کوچک زیباست نام داره.

” Small is Beautiful is the name of a book by E F Schumacher.

کوچک زیباست نام یه کتاب از ای‌اف شوماخر هستش.

It’s a very interesting book.

یه کتاب خیلی جالبه.

It’s a little bit difficult to read.

یه ذره واسه خوندن سخته.

The level of English is actually fairly difficult, but I do recommend it.

سطح زبان انگلیسیش در واقع نسبتا دشواره، ولی من توصیه‌ش می‌کنم.

If you have an advanced level of English, go ahead, try to read Small is Beautiful.

اگه دارای سطح پیشرفته‌ی انگلیسی هستین، برو شروع کن، سعی کن «کوچک زیباست» رو بخونی.

It’s an excellent book.

یه کتاب عالیه.

E F Schumacher was an economist, still is an economist.

ای‌اف شوماخر یه اقتصاددان بودش، الانم یه اقتصاددانه.

And he wrote Small is Beautiful to talk about the economic problems we have in the world.

و اون «کوچک زیباست» رو نوشت تا راجع به مشکلات اقتصادی‌ای که توی دنیا داریم صحبت کنه.

Now this book was published back in the late ’70s, I believe, and it has been updated more recently.

خب من فکر کنم این کتاب قبلنا توی اواخر دهه‌ی ۷۰ منتشر شده بود، و اخیرا به روز شده.

But the basic idea of Small is Beautiful is that our economies in the world are big, big businesses, have become too big.

ولی ایده‌ی بنیادی «کوچک زیباست» اینه که اقتصادهای ما توی دنیا بزرگن، تجارت‌های بزرگی هستن، زیادی بزرگ شده‌ن.

And they are not sustainable anymore.

و دیگه بیش از این پایدار نیستن.

Too big, in other words, we’re destroying the planet Earth because we are consuming too much.

زیادی بزرگه، به عبارت دیگه، ما داریم کره‌ی زمین رو نابود می‌کنیم بخاطر اینکه داریم زیادی مصرف می‌کنیم.

Our economies are too big; our population, too big; our companies, too big.

اقتصادهامون زیادی بزرگن؛ جمعیتمون زیادی بزرگه، شرکت‌هامون زیادی بزرگن.

Everything has grown too large and his solution, as you might guess, is that we need smaller economies, more local economies, more green economies.

همه چی زیادی عظیم شده و راه حل ایشون، همونطور که ممکنه حدس بزنین، اینه که ما به اقتصادهای کوچک‌تر، اقتصادهای محلی بیشتر، اقتصادهای سبز (دوستار طبیعت) بیشتری نیاز داریم.

So he was writing about this long before Al Gore and An Inconvenient Truth and a lot of other things which are quite common right now.

پس اون خیلی قبل‌تر از ال گور و «یک حقیقت ناراحت‌کننده» داشته و کلی چیزای دیگه که الان خیلی متداولن داشته راجع به این می‌نوشته.

But he was writing about these things way back in the ’70s.

ولی اون داشته قبلنا توی دهه‌ی ۷۰ راجع به این چیزا می‌نوشته.

He realized that we’re going to have to make some changes.

اون متوجه شده بود که ما قراره نیاز داشته باشیم یه تغییراتی رقم بزنیم.

Our planet is being destroyed, we have to do something.

کره‌مون داره نابود می‌شه، ما باید یه کاری کنیم.

And we need to start at the economic level.

و نیاز داریم که از سطح اقتصادی شروع کنیم.

We have to change our economic system so that it is more human, so that it serves human beings not just super large companies.

باید سیستم اقتصادیمون رو تغییر بدیم تا انسانی‌تر شه، تا در خدمت بشر باشه نه صرفا شرکت‌های فوق بزرگ.

And, of course, he talks about these economies and his solutions in a lot of detail.

و البته که اون راجع به این اقتصادها و راه‌حل‌هاش با کلی جزئیات حرف می‌زنه.

Like I said, he was an economist, he is an economist.

همونطور که گفتم، اون یه اقتصاددان بود، یه اقتصاددان هست.

So he has a lot of very detailed economic arguments and he analyzes things from an economic viewpoint.

پس اون کلی استدلال خیلی مفصل داره و مسائل رو از نقطه‌نظر یه اقتصاددان تجزیه و تحلیل می‌کنه.

It’s very interesting.

این خیلی جالبه.

Today I want to read to you just a short passage from his book and this book and this passage really talk about the key, central core problem in his opinion.

امروز من می‌خوام براتون یه قطعه‌ی کوچیک از کتابش رو بخونم، و این کتاب و این قطعه در واقع راجع به نکته‌ی کلیدی، هسته‌ی مرکزی مشکل از دیدگاه ایشون بحث می‌کنه.

What is the most basic problem?

بنیادی‌ترین مشکل چیه؟

What is causing all these economic problems we see in the world, all the environmental destruction, the wars we see constantly, what’s the root cause?

چی موجب همه‌ی این مشکلات اقتصادی‌ای که ما توی دنیا می‌بینیم هستش، همه‌ی اون نابودی‌های محیط زیستی، جنگ‌هایی که دائما می‌بینیم، دلیل ریشه‌ایش چیه؟

And let me read from the book right now.

و بذارین همین الان از روی کتاب بخونم.

“Economically our wrong living consists primarily in systematically cultivating greed and envy and thus building up a vast array of totally unnecessary wants.

«از منظر اقتصادی، زندگی غلط ما اساسا مبتنی‌ست در پرورش سیستماتیک طمع و حسد و متعاقبا ایجاد گستره‌ی عظیمی از خواسته‌های کاملا غیر ضروری».

It is the sin of greed that has delivered us over into the power of the machine.

«این گناه آزمندی‌ست که ما را در دستان قدرت ماشین‌ها سپرده».

If greed were not the master of modern man how could it be that the frenzy of consumerism does not abate at higher standards of living and that it is precisely the richest societies which pursue their economic advantage with the greatest ruthlessness?

«اگر آز و طمع ارباب انسان مدرن نبود چگونه این شده که شوریدگی مصرف‌گرایی در سطوح بالاتری از شاخص‌های زندگی فروکش نمی‌کند و دقیقا این ثروتمندترین جوامع هستند که با بیشتری بی‌رحمی در پی مزایای اقتصادی خوداند»؟

How could we explain the almost universal refusal on the part of the rulers of the rich societies to work towards the humanization of work, soul destroying, meaningless, mechanical, monotonous, moronic work that is an insult to human nature.

«چگونه می‌توان امتناع تقریبا همگانی از جانب حاکمان جوامع غنی جهت تلاش برای انسانی کردن کارها، کارهای ویرانگر روح، بی‌معنی، مکانیکی، یک‌نواخت و ابلهانه‌ای که توهینی به طبیعت انسانی‌اند را توجیه کرد»؟

These are the facts which are neither denied nor acknowledged but are met with an unbreakable silence.

«این‌ها حقایقی هستند که نه انکار و نه اذعان شده بلکه صرفا با سکوتی ناگسستنی روبه‌رو می‌شوند».

Because to deny them would be too obviously absurd and to acknowledge them would condemn the central preoccupation of modern society as a crime against humanity.

«زیرا که انکارشان آشکارا پوچ و اذعانشان محکوم کردن مشغله‌ی مرکزی جامعه‌ی مدرن به عنوان جنایتی علیه جامعه‌ی بشری خواهد بود».

Okay, I told you it would be difficult and it is a little difficult so let me explain a little of what this section means.

خب، بهتون گفتم که سخت خواهد بود و یه ذره هم سخته پس بذارین یه ذره از معنی این بخش رو توضیح بدم.

What is he talking about?

اون داره راجع به چی حرف می‌زنه؟

So he’s saying that our problem, our modern problem, economically in life, comes from greed and envy.

پس اون داره می‌گه از منظر اقتصادی توی زندگی مشکل ما، مشکل مدرن ما، از طمع و حسادت می‌آد.

Greed and envy are the problems, that our societies now cultivate greed and envy, of course, cultivate means grow.

مشکل طمع و حسادته، جوامع ما الان طمع و حسد رو پرورش می‌دن، البته که Cultivate یعنی رشد دادن.

So our societies, our cultures, all of the world are now growing greed and envy.

پس جوامع ما، فرهنگ‌هامون، همه‌ی دنیا حالا دارن طمع و حسادت پرورش می‌دن.

They encourage greed and envy in people.

اونا طمع و حسادت توی افراد رو ترغیب می‌کنن.

People getting more greedy, greedy, greedy…more envious, more envious, more envious.

مردم دارن حریص‌، حریص‌تر و حریص‌تر… حسودتر، حسودتر و حسودتر می‌شه.

And as people become more greedy and envious, they develop a lot of unnecessary wants.

و هر چی مردم حریص و حسودتر می‌شن، خواسته‌های غیرضروری زیادی ایجاد می‌کنن.

They start wanting more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more…always wanting more, more, more.

اونا شروع به بیشتر، بیشتر، بیشتر و بیشتر… خواستن می‌کنن… دائما بیشتر، بیشتر و بیشتر می‌خوان.

So he said it’s this sin, it’s greed, this problem of greed that has made us slaves to machines.

پس اون می‌گفت این گناهه، طمعه، این مشکل طمعه که باعث شده ما برده‌ی ماشین‌ها بشیم.

That’s what he’s saying, delivered us into the power of the machine.

این چیزیه که اون داره می‌گه، «ما را در دستان قدرت ماشین‌ها سپرده».

He’s talking about it’s made us slaves to our big companies, it’s made us slaves to computers, to machines, to this modern life, that we’re not free anymore because of this greed and envy.

اون داره راجع به این می‌گه که این ما رو برده‌ی کمپانی‌های بزرگمون کرده، ما رو برده‌ی کامپیوترها، ماشین‌ها، این زندگی مدرن کرده، که ما دیگه بخاطر این طمع و حسادت آزاد نیستیم.

And then he talks about, he says that you could you see that it’s true because the richest countries, the places where people have the most, such as the United States, they are the most ruthless about wanting more and more and more.

و بعد اون حرف می‌زنه راجع به، اون می‌گه این حقیقت داره بخاطر اینکه ثروتمندترین کشورها، جاهایی که مردم از همه بیشتر دارن، مثل ایالات متحده، اونا توی بیشتر و بیشتر و بیشتر خواستن، بی‌رحم‌ترین‌هان.

So, in other words, there is never enough.

پس به عبارت دیگه، هیچوقت چیزی کافی نیستش.

The richest countries are the most brutal, the most tough, the most ruthless, trying to get even more and more and more.

ثروتمندترین کشورا، بی‌رحم‌ترین، خشن‌ترین، ظالم‌ترین‌هان، سعی می‌کنن حتی بیشتر و بیشتر و بیشتر به دست بیارن.

So he’s saying it never ends, right?

پس اون داره می‌گه هیچوقت تموم نمی‌شه، درست؟

If someone’s very rich then they want even more money.

اگه کسی خیلی پولدار باشه در اون صورت اون حتی پول بیشتر می‌خواد.

It never stops.

هیچوقت متوقف نمی‌شه.

And he says the other problem is that people who aren’t rich, they are stuck in soul destroying jobs, that work is mostly meaningless, mechanical, monotonous and moronic.

و اون می‌گه مشکل دیگه اینه که آدمایی که پولدار نیستن، توی مشاغل مخرب روح گیر کردن، شغلی که غالبا بدون معنی، مکانیکی، یکنواخت و ابلهانه‌ست.

Moronic means stupid.

Moronic یعنی احمقانه.

In most of the world, most jobs, most work is just horrible.

توی غالب دنیا، اکثر مشاغل، اکثر کارها واقعا فاجعه‌بارن.

Now you may like your job but, of course, he’s thinking about all the thousands of people, for example, in China working in terrible factories…well millions, not thousands, millions and millions.

حالا شما ممکنه شغلت رو دوست داشته باشی، ولی مشخصا اون داره به همه‌ی هزاران نفری فکر می‌کنه که مثلا توی چین دارن توی کارخونه‌های مفتضحی کار می‌کنن… البته میلیون‌ها، نه هزاران، میلیون‌ها و میلیون‌ها.

All over the world poor people working horrible jobs, terrible jobs, soul destroying jobs, jobs that destroy their health and their life and their happiness.

سراسر دنیا مردم فقیر در حال کار تو مشاغل فاجعه‌بار، مشاغل افتضاح، مشاغل مخرب روح، مشاغلی که سلامتی و زندگی و شادیشون رو نابود می‌کنن هستن.

So he’s saying these are facts.

پس اون داره می‌گه اینا حقایقن.

Everybody knows they’re true.

همه می‌دونن که اینا درستن.

But there’s an unbreakable silence about them.

ولی یه سکوت ناگسستنی‌ای واسه‌شون هست.

So he’s saying people don’t talk about it.

پس اون داره می‌گه مردم راجع بهش حرف نمی‌زنن.

You don’t hear about this on the news.

شما توی اخبار راجع به این نمی‌شنوین.

People don’t talk about all the horrible job and work conditions for most people in most countries.

آدما راجع به همه‌ی مشاغل فاجعه‌بار و شرایط شغلی اکثر مردم توی اکثر کشورها حرف نمی‌زنن.

They are silent about it.

اونا نسبت بهش ساکتن.

Nobody talks about it.

هیچکی راجع بهش حرف نمی‌زنه.

They don’t condemn it because that’s absurd, that’s crazy.

نمی‌تونن محکومش کنن بخاطر اینکه چرنده، احمقانه‌ست.

They can’t condemn it.

اونا نمی‌تونن محکومش کنن.

They can’t say it’s not true because everybody knows it is true.

نمی‌تونن بگن درست نیس چون همه می‌دونن که درسته.

But they can’t talk about it because then they would condemn the central preoccupation of our society.

ولی نمی‌تونن راجع بهش جرف بزنن بخاطر اینکه در اون صورت دیگه مشغله‌ی مرکزی جامعه‌مون رو محکوم کرده‌ن.

Preoccupation means what we think about, our goal.

Preoccupation یعنی چیزی که بهش فکر می‌کنیم، هدفمون.

So he’s saying that everybody just ignores it.

پس اون داره می‌گه همه صرفا نادیده‌ش می‌گیرن.

We pretend it’s not happening.

ما وانمود می‌کنیم در حال رخ دادن نیستش.

So he’s saying this is the problem.

پس اون داره می‌گه مشکل اینه.

The central problem, that we are creating so much greed and envy everywhere that our whole economic system is driven by greed and envy, that our whole culture, global culture, is based upon greed and envy.

مشکل مرکزی، اینکه ما داریم اونقدر همه جا طمع و حسد ایجاد می‌کنیم که تموم سیستم اقتصادیمون توسط طمع و حسادت رونده می‌شه، که تموم فرهنگمون، فرهنگ جهانیمون، بر مبنای حسادت و طمع شکل گرفته.

And that’s what most advertising is about.

و تبلیغات اکثرا راجع به همینه.

That’s what most of our whole economic systems and even our governments encourage it: greed and envy, greed and envy, greed and envy, in all our societies.

این همون چیزیه بیشتر سیستم‌های اقتصادیمون و حتی دولت‌هامون اونو تشویق می‌کنن: طمع و حسادت، طمع و حسادت، طمع و حسادت، توی تموم جوامعمون.

And that is destroying the planet.

و داره سیاره رو نابود می‌کنه.

It’s destroying our culture.

داره فرهنگمون رو نابود می‌کنه.

It’s destroying the people and their jobs.

داره آدما و مشاغلشون رو نابود می‌کنه.

It’s destroying everything.

داره همه چیز رو نابود می‌کنه.

So that’s not a very happy thought but I think he’s probably right.

پس یه تفکر خیلی خوشحال‌کننده نیستش ولی من فکر می‌کنم اون احتمالا درست می‌گه.

I think we can all see that he’s right.

به نظرم همه می‌تونیم ببینیم که اون درست می‌گه.

Now luckily the book is actually very positive.

حالا خوشبختانه کتابه در واقع خیلی مثبته.

So he’s talking about the problem here and we all can see the problem and it is a very terrible problem.

خب اون داره اینجا راجع به مشکل حرف می‌زنه و ما همه می‌تونیم مشکل رو ببینیم و یه مشکل خیلی فاجعه‌باره.

And we all know that people are suffering everywhere in the world, working these horrible jobs.

و همه‌ی ما می‌دونیم که مردم تو همه جای دنیا دارن رنج می‌کشن، توی این مشاغل وحشتناک کار می‌کنن.

And we all know that greed and envy are controlling most of our governments, most of our countries, most of our societies.

و همه‌ی ما می‌دونیم که طمع و حسادت داره اکثر دولت‌هامون، اکثر کشورهامون، اکثر جوامعمون رو کنترل می‌کنه.

But the good news is that in this book, Small is Beautiful, he has a lot of great solutions about creating local economies that are not based upon greed and envy.

ولی خبر خوب اینه که توی این کتاب، «کوچیک زیباست»، اون کلی راه‌حل فوق‌العاده واسه ایجاد اقتصادهای محلی که مبتنی بر حسادت و طمع نیستن داره.

And creating sustainable economies, meaning that they can keep going year after year, decade after decade, century after century; without destroying the earth, without destroying people.

و ساختن اقتصادهای پایدار، به معنی اینکه بتونن بعد سال‌های سال، بعد دهه‌ها، بعد قرن‌ها بتونن ادامه بدن؛ بدون نابود کردن زمین، بدون نابود کردن مردم.

So this book is a very practical book.

پس این کتاب یه کتاب خیلی کاربردیه.

And he has a lot of very, very practical suggestions on how we can change.

و اون تعداد خیلی خیلی زیادی پیشنهاد کاربردی واسه اینکه ما چطور می‌تونیم عوض بشیم داره.

So I do highly recommend reading Small is Beautiful by E F Schumacher.

پس من شدیدا خوندن «کوچک زیباست» از ای‌اف شوماخر رو توصیه می‌کنم.

And if you don’t read that then I hope you will at least start learning more about ecology and the green movement and sustainable economics because these are very, very important issues to our planet, to everybody living on it.

و اگه نمی‌خونیدش در اون صورت امیدوارم حداقل شروع به یادگیری بیشتر راجع به بوم‌شناسی و نهضت سبز و اقتصادهای پایدار کنید بخاطر اینکه اینا مسائل خیلی خیلی مهمی واسه سیاره‌مون، واسه هر کسی که توش زندگی می‌کنه هستن.

Hello, welcome to the vocabulary lesson for “Small is Beautiful.

درود، به درس دایره لغات واسه فصل «کوک زیباست» خوش اومدین.

Let’s talk about our first word.

بیاین راجع به کلمه‌ی اولمون حرف بزنیم.

Our first word is cultivate, to cultivate.

کلمه‌ی اولمون Cultivate (به معنی پرورش دادن، ترویج) هستش، Cultivate.

Of course, to cultivate means to grow or to encourage something.

البته که To cultivate یعنی رشد دادن یا ترغیب کردن چیزی.

So it’s to cultivate, it means to grow or to encourage something.

پس شد To cultivate، یعنی رشد دادن یا ترغیب کردن چیزی.

Our next word is envy, envy.

کلمه‌ی بعدیمون Envy (به معنی حسادت، رشک) هستش، Envy.

He says our cultures are cultivating envy, they’re encouraging envy.

می‌گه که فرهنگامون داره رشک بردن رو ترویج می‌کنه، رشک رو ترغیب می‌کنه.

Envy really means jealousy.

Envy در واقع یعنی حسادت.

Jealousy, it means someone else has something good and you don’t like it, right?

حسادت، یعنی یکی دیگه یه چیز خوبی داره و تو اینو دوست نداری، درست؟

You are jealous.

حسودی.

You’re jealous of them.

بهشون حسادت داری.

If they have something better than you, you don’t feel good about them.

اگه چیز بهتری نسبت به تو دارن، احساس خوبی بهش نداری.

You don’t feel happy because they are happy.

شما خوشحال نیستین چون اونا خوشحالن.

Instead you feel mad or angry or jealous.

در ازاش احساس عصبانیت و خشم و حسادت دارین.

You feel bad because you think “Ah, I want that.

حس بدی دارین چون دارین فکر می‌کنین که “آه، من اینو می‌خوام”.

I want that.

“من اینو می‌خوام”.

I want that,” right?

“من اینو می‌خوام”، درسته؟

So envy really means jealousy.

پس Envy در واقع یعنی حسادت.

Our next word is frenzy, a frenzy.

کلمه‌ی بعدیمون Frenzy (به معنی شور، دیوانگی) هستش، Frenzy.

A frenzy is uncontrolled action.

Frenzy یه عمل کنترل‌نشده‌ست.

It really means just constantly doing a lot of things without control.

در واقع یعنی مدام کلی کار کنترل‌نشده انجام بدین.

So, for example, sharks in the ocean, if you throw a dead fish in the water they will…rawr…they will start attacking the fish and they all go crazy.

پس مثلا کوسه‌های توی اقیانوس، اگه یه ماهی مرده بندازی تو آب اونا… شروع به حمله به ماهیه می‌کنن و دیوونه می‌شن.

So that’s this idea of, that they just start attacking and moving and doing all of these things without control.

پس ایده‌ش همینه، شروع می‌کنن به حمله و تحرک و همه این دیوونه‌بازیا بدون کنترل.

So frenzy really means kind of go crazy, just…aaaahhhh…just start doing a lot of things, going crazy about it…lots and lots of actions with no control.

پس Frenzy در واقع یعنی دیوونه‌بازی در آوردن، صرفا… صرفا شروع به انجام دادن کلی این چیزا، دیوونه بازی در آوردن واسه‌ش… کلی کلی عمل بدون کنترل.

Our next word is consumerism, consumerism.

کلمه‌ی بعدیمون Consumerism (به معنی مصرف‌گرایی) هستش، Consumerism.

Consumerism means the philosophy or the idea that buying stuff is most important in your life.

Consumerism یعنی فلسفه یا ایده‌ی اینکه چیزمیز خریدن توی زندگی مهم‌ترینه.

It’s the most important thing.

مهم‌ترین چیزه.

So that you get meaning from buying things, that buying stuff, buying cars, buying expensive houses, buying more, more, more, more, that’s what is most important in life.

اینطور که شما از خریدن چیز‌ها معنی می‌گیرین، اینکه خریدن چیزمیز، خریدن ماشین، خرید خونه‌ی گرون، بیشتر و بیشتر و بیشتر و بیشتر خریدن، توی زندگی مهم‌ترینه.

That idea is called consumerism.

این ایده اسمش هست Consumerism.

Consumerism, so Schumacher is saying that right now most of our cultures are consumerist cultures…that we are focused on consumerism in most countries.

Consumerism، پس شوماخر داره می‌گه که در حال حاضر اکثر فرهنگامون، فرهنگای مصرف‌گرا هستن… اینکه ما توی اکثر کشورا روی مصرف‌گرایی تمرکز کردیم.

Our next word is abate, to abate.

کلمه‌ی بعدیمون Abate (به معنی فروکش کردن) هستش، Abate.

He says that consumerism in most of our countries does not abate as we get richer.

داره می‌گه مصرف‌گرایی توی اکثر کشورای ما با پولدار‌تر شدنمون، فروکش نمی‌کنه.

So to abate means to slow down or to stop, or to abate can also mean to lessen.

پس To abate یعنی کند شدن یا متوقف شدن، یا اینکه To abate همینطور می‌تونه معنی کمتر شدن بده.

To get smaller, to get weaker, it has this idea of slowing down, stopping.

کوچیک‌تر شدن، ضعیف‌تر شدن، یه معنی آهسته شدن یا توقف پیدا کردن پشتش داره.

So he’s thinking if someone gets rich then their greed, their desire for money, should go down.

پس اون اینطور فکر می‌کنه که وقتی کسی پولدار می‌شه بعد طَمَعش، عطشش برای پول، باید بیاد پایین.

It should become lower.

باید کمتر بشه.

It should abate.

باید فروکش کنه.

But he’s saying it does not abate.

اما داره می‌گه که فروکش نمی‌کنه.

It does not slow down.

کندتر نمی‌شه.

It does not get less.

کم نمی‌شه.

So again, to abate, to get less, to lessen, to slow down.

پس دوباره، To abate، کم شدن، کمتر شدن، کند شدن.

Next we have the word ruthlessness, or ruthless.

بعد کلمه‌ی Ruthlessness (به معنی بی‌رحمی) رو داریم، یا Ruthless.

So ruthless means really mean, cruel, very, very tough and cruel, no mercy.

خب Ruthless در واقع یعنی ظالم، خیلی خیلی سخت و ظالم، بدون شفقت.

So ruthlessness is the noun and ruthless is the adjective.

So he’s saying that rich countries are very ruthless about getting money.

They’re the most ruthless so those people, those countries that already have a lot of money, they’re super ruthless about getting more.

They are cruel.

ظالمن.

They’re tough, not kind.

Alright, our next word is humanize, to humanize.

بسیار خب، کلمه‌ی بعدیمون Humanize (به معادل انسان‌سازی کردن) هستش، To humanize.

To humanize, for example, he talks about to humanize work, or the humanization of work.

To humanize، به عنوان مثال داره از انسانی کردن محیط کار، یا انسان‌سازی کردن کار می‌گه.

So humanization or humanize, to humanize is the verb…to humanize means to make something more kind, more human, better for people.

پس Humanization یا Humanize یا To humanize که فعلشه… To humanize یعنی یه چیزو مهربون‌تر کردن، انسانی‌تر کردن، واسه افراد بهتر کردن.

So, and the opposite is to dehumanize.

و خب متضادش می‌شه Dehumanize.

To dehumanize means to make something less human.

To dehumanize یعنی از انسانی بودن چیزی کم کردن.

It means to make it less kind, less soft, less healthy.

یعنی از مهربونیش، لطافتش، از سلامتش کم کنی.

To humanize, using it as a verb, means to make something more healthy, more kind, more good for people.

To humanize، به عنوان فعل، یعنی چیزیو سالم‌تر کردن، مهربون‌تر کردن، واسه افراد بهترش کردن.

So to humanize work means to make work, to make jobs healthier, happier, better for people.

پس To humanize work یعنی کار رو، مشاغل رو، سالم‌تر، شاداب‌تر، و برای افراد بهتر کردن.

Our next word is monotonous.

کلمه‌ی بعدمون Monotonous (به معنی یکنواخت) هستش.

Schumacher says most jobs, most normal jobs in the world are monotonous.

شوماخر می‌گه اکثر مشاغل، اکثر مشاغل دنیا یکنواختن.

Monotonous means boring.

Monotonous یعنی خسته‌کننده.

Monotonous means doing the same again, again, again and again…very, very boring.

So again monotonous means boring.

For example, working in a factory, people who work in a factory, they do the same small task again, again, again, again.

Absurd means crazy and ridiculous, ridiculous.

Preoccupation means something you think about all the time.

Preoccupation یعنی چیزی که همه‌ش بهش فکر می‌کنین.

Similar to the word obsession, obsession and preoccupation, very close.

مشابه کلمه‌ی Obsession، این دو خیلی مشابهن.

Preoccupation, something that you think about all the time.

I have a preoccupation with money.

من مشغله‌م پوله.

It means I think about money all the time.

معنیش اینه که من دائما به پول فکر می‌کنم.

We can use this as a verb also, preoccupation is a noun but we can use it as a verb, as an action.

می‌تونیم به عنوان فعل هم ازش استفاده کنیم، Preoccupation اسمه ولی می‌شه به عنوان یه فعل، یه عمل هم استفاده کرد ازش.

We can say “I am preoccupied with money.

می‌تونیم بگیم من مشغله‌ی پول دارم.

” It means I am focused on money.

یعنی من روی پول تمرکز کردم.

I am obsessed with money.

فکر و ذکرم پوله.

I am thinking about money all the time.

جف قراره بگه “این چرنده”.

“خب یه کلاه‌گیس بخر”

And Michael, he’ll stop.

و مایکل دست نگه خواهد داشت.

His preoccupation will suddenly abate.

دغدغه‌ش یهو فروکش خواهد کرد.

He’ll drop the knife.

چاقوش رو خواهد انداخت.

He’ll become calm.

آروم می‌شه.

Then he’ll run to the nearest wig store and he’ll buy a long, blond, beautiful wig.

بعد به سمت نزدیک‌ترین کلاه‌گیس فروشی خواهد دوید و یه کلاه‌گیس بلند، بلوند و زیبا خواهد خرید.

And he’ll put it on.

و اونو می‌پوشه.

He’s gonna walk around the town with his long, blond, beautiful wig and everyone will love his new hair.

اون قراره توی محل با کلاه‌گیس بلند، بلوند و قشنگش قدم بزنه و همه قراره عاشق موی جدیدش باشن.

Michael’s gonna be so happy.

مایکل قراره خیلی خوشحال باشه.

And then he and Jeff will become very good friends.

و بعد اون و جف قراره دوستای خوبی بشن.
